2012. Realizzata interamente a mano dall’Atelier sui colli piacentini, la sauna Huginn&Muninn, in legno di abete, ospita due persone e come da tradizione scandinava è alimentata da una stufa a legna. Gli oblò sulle pareti inquadrano i tramonti sui colli, inondando di una calda luce il piccolo abitacolo.
Huginn e Muninn significano “Pensiero” e “Memoria” e sono i nomi dei due corvi che Odino ogni giorno spedisce in volo sulla terra, per farsi riferire ciò che succede nel mondo, in analogia la sauna è interpretata dall’Atelier come momento di riflessione e rilassamento alla fine di una lunga giornata.

Huginn&Muninn is an entirely handmade outdoor sauna in spruce wood which accommodates two people. According to the Scandinavian tradition, it is powered by a wood stove. Its wall portholes frame the sunsets on the Piacenza hills, and a warm light floods in the small space.
Huginn and Muninn mean “thought” and “memory”,” according to Atelier Forte. “Those are the names of the two ravens of Odin. Every day he sends them flying over all the earth, and they come back and tell him everything they have seen and heard. There is an analogy with the sauna as a moment of reflection and relaxation at the end of a long day.
